Oak Four Poster Bed made for the Earl of Derby (Thomas Stanley), the joined headboard has carved pierced panels, the centre knob of the left hand post has the Stanley Badge (an eagle preying on a swaddled child) the centre knob of the right hand post has the badge of the Isle of Man (a Stanley Tenure) the Three Armoured Legs.
